Our gremlin number two

And this is Merlin. We had a lot of problems with him. He was found in a bush of a park with a few days old. We saw him after he opened his eyes and we knew he was for us. He was at the vet with another kitten and when they were playing the other cat bit his pride tearing his urethra. They operated on him and we had to wait since we hadn't adopted him yet! Since the vet knows us, she let us take him as fostering... And since he had problems doing a number 1, he had another operation. And yet another one! We were worried sick! But he's a fighter!

That's Alan and Merlin.

He loves sleeping in the washbasin... Weird cat!

... Or on top of the wardrobe!

He's a poser!

He also likes yoghurt...

... And daddy's ear!

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur,
Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

Our gremlin number one

I introduce you to my crazy yet charming gremlins. they're both adopted from the animal welfare and we've raised them to be spoilt rotten, I'm afraid.

This is Salem, our little princess. She can be very affectionate when she wants to. We adopted her first. Sadly, the animal welfare girl told me she was surprised we chose her because apparently it's quite common for people to dislike black cats, so they're not usually easily adopted ... We've never regretted her adoption; she's our little sunshine!!

Always there, even when spring cleaning...

Here she was trying to help me unwrap something...

She also likes reading with mummy <3

And here we go! Salem is into cross stitching, too, and makes sure she gets all the attention!

And this is her impression of a meerkat <3

Welcome

This is something we have hung by the hall, I found it quite cute and I have to give credit to Alan for it ;)

Feline love

New project! This time I decided to try something a little bit more challenging... This is my first time using 18 count Aida which is not plain white, it's ivory. It's supposed to be 17 cm x 12 cm. The only difference I can tell so far is the size: a lot more stitches but a lot smaller, so my feeling of achieving is also smaller, sadly :( oh! The needle is also smaller, and fragile, I hope I don't break it!
Happy stitching!

Looks like I'm finally getting somewhere... The good thing is that it's mostly half stitch, so at least it's a bit faster than normal...

This is taking longer than I thought...
